I had fun running this race today. I felt good and was pleasntly surprised I ran faster then I did last year. They did change the 5k course a little bit to accomodate the 10k course. The start was further back then from last year but all the miles were pretty much the same.  The 5k course ended up being a little longer. I clocked it at 3.29 on my garmin and Angie had 3.24. I only did about 1.5 mile warm up because I was helping out with some of the race stuff. I got into the race and felt nice and relaxed for my first mile. The second mile has a gradual uphill and then a steeper uphill, but I was still feeling ok. The 3rd place girl was about 20 seconds ahead of me the whole race. I couldn't quite make up any ground on her. My AP for the race was 6:32, much better then I thought I could run and faster then my AP from last years race. My mile splits this year: 6:27, 6:41, 6:23, .29 - 1:57. My splits from last year were 6:23, 6:43, 6:44. I ran the last mile much better this year.
