I was nervous to run this race today because I haven't been doing any workouts. I've been running and running pregnant is new for me, so racing pregnant was even newer territory. But turns out its not a big deal. I really wanted to do this race because of the cash prizes. I got $100 for winning which made my day.

I started out the race comfortable because I knew I would be running up some good hills for the first two miles. I noticed there weren't any other women close to me once the 12 year old boys were all weeded out. So I knew I could relax and run a good race. I wanted to keep a steady pace. After I got past the hills it was smooth sailing and I enjoyed the race. I wanted to keep my miles under 7 minute pace on the up hills, which I did. I'm happy with how the race turned out. I ran this race three years ago and was over 42 minutes.AP 6:41. Splits were 6:41, 6:52, 6:39, 6:40, 6:46, 6:39, .57
