I was convinced the day before this race the weather wouldn't be bad. It couldn't be, the weather was terrible last year at this race, this year should've been a nice year. I was wrong. The weather was terrible, downpour and wind. I was excited to be at the race because of the atmosphere and because of how many people I knew in the race. It was fun seeing so many Utahrunning.com runners in yellow jerseys. I wish I could've watched the race instead, some of my friends had incredible races despite the weather. I'm glad I was able to see Riley finish the marathon, it was an incredible race for him yesterday. He worked hard for that. I feel like I coasted a little in my race, not that I would've been much faster had I been more determined to hit a certain pace, but I didn't really go after it as hard as I should've. The biggest reason being pregnancy. I'm still happy with it, I'm glad I ran it. The weather got steadily worse as the race progressed. Maybe next year the weather will cooperate? Splits were 6:50, 6:33, 6:36, 6:46, 6:30, 6:43, 6:47, 6:44, 6:38, 6:41, 6:42, 6:48, 6:49. AP 6:42

Also you won't find my results online. I must've had a faulty chip. Nothing registered. Oh well.

Congrats on the run and on the pregnancy! I did try to look you up and was worried you decided not to race. Looks like you ran well despite what sounded like terrible weather.

Nice race Ames. I'm proud of ya, that's still a solid in race in bad conditions and while being pregnant!

i couldn't believe it when i read that it was a rainy day *again* (and not just rainy but crazywindyrainy).

nice job. your splits are really good -- way to steadily power through despite the conditions (+ baby on board!). congrats.
